The Consular Conference 2024 took place on March 13 -15 at the German Embassy Washington DC, which was attended by 44 German Consuls General and Honorary Consuls from all over the USA.
These days, we’re gathering Consul Generals and Honorary Consuls from across the US in Washington DC. Here is what I told them: The heart of the US beats in its states and regions, its cities and towns. The same is true for Germany. Thereforestrengthening our relations on a subnational level is hugely important. And: US society – like German society – is becoming more diverse and colorful. We will work tirelessly to do justice to this diversity and continue to expand our networks to all parts of society.
We’re privileged to have a tightknit network of 8 Consul Generals and 40 Honorary Consuls across the US. Tonight, I honored long-standing Honorary Consuls. They provide consular services, represent Germany, and foster the personal ties on which the US-German partnership thrives!
